About this Event
REEL MENTAL | MENTALLY UNREAL launches two back-to-back screenings of mental health short films accompanied by Psychosis to Song album release. Additional features include: Exhibit Hall with local artists | Sponsors & organizations providing resources to attendees | Large scale photography on display | Interactive mental health stations.
Feel free to arrive at any time from opening to closing! But make sure you're there for your ticket time. Come and make an evening out of it! All attendees are encouraged to arrive early and stay late in order to get the most out of this event.

Reserve your ticket according to which viewing time you choose.
Viewing 1 starts at 7:00PM | Viewing 2 starts at 8:30PM
Attendees only need to buy one ticket per person. You do not need to arrive or leave based on the ticket's Viewing time. The ticket time you select only ensures that your seat(s) have been reserved.
SHORT FILMS:
UNSOUND (Feature Film) follows eight musicians as they transform their struggles with mental health into raw, authentic art through the creation of Psychosis to Song, a groundbreaking compilation album. Recorded at Houston’s Wire Road Studios, the project captures the intersection between creativity and psychosis. Released on CIA Records and produced by Dan Workman in January 2025, the album and film challenge stigma, celebrate resilience, and showcase the inner world of musicians. Written and Directed by Daniel Garcia. Produced by The MendCenter.
PERMISSION TO PAUSE is a gentle exploration of the beauty in giving yourself grace, even on days when motivation feels out of reach. Written, produced and directed by Diandra Marie.

PSYCHOSIS TO SONG will be available for purchase on limited vinyl and accessible on streaming platforms. Come to the event and meet the featured musicians in-person.
