About this Event

Join us as the Office of Human Rights & Equity screens Crip Camp, the award-winning, 2020 Oscar-nominated documentary featuring Judy Heumann, directed by James LeBrecht and Nicole Newnham, and produced by the Obamas' Higher Ground Productions, captures just one vital moment in the Disability Rights Movement. Countless other crucial stories remain untold. However the filmmakers are committed to using the film’s platform to amplify diverse narratives, with an emphasis on people of color and intersectionally marginalized communities.

This screening is being presented as part of the Howard County Office of Human Rights & Equity's Reel Enlightenment Series.

Note on Admission: This event is strictly non-monetary and free to the public, made possible through the support of the county. The goal is not commercial profit, but cultural enrichment and community engagement.
