REEL Art is a platform for original film installations - a contemporary art form that combines video technology with installation art - making use of the storefront windows of Core Dance’s studio building. Coupled with, all aspects of the surrounding environment of Decatur Square, passersby/the audience are affected by this ingenious visual experience. As an installation, this work is unique in its use and design for the Core Dance Studio windows.
Please join us for the opening reception of the second of five Movements within our REEL Art film series, premiering this Saturday, November 20th at 8pm on our studio windows featuring the work of Felipe Barral, an Emmy award-winning producer and experienced storyteller who has worked with many Atlanta-based organizations. His film "V I T A" showcases a collaboration with @Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre, and explores concepts related to the fragility of the human experience. Registration below.
This outdoor event is free, and advance registration is encouraged. Walk-ups will be welcomed if space allows. CDC-recommended social distancing practices will be enforced as patrons enjoy the film from the Decatur Square steps in front of our studio windows.
