About this Event
The Redondo Beach Pier 48th Annual Festival of the Kite returns to the 2nd Sunday in March (daylight savings time) in 2022!
Redondo Pier’s annual kite festival is one of the longest-running kite festivals in the country.
This all-ages free event is open to the public and prizes are awarded for the best hand-made kite, highest-flying kite, and the youngest and youngest at heart kite flyers. The event also features live music, Craig's Hot Dog on a Stick Eating Contest, local dance and martial arts demos, and more!
Free to attend (Kites are available for purchase at local pier and boardwalk shops or bring your own)
Parking: $2.00 per hour in north and south pier parking structures. metered street parking is also available.

The Redondo Pier Association is committed to bringing free community events to the pier throughout the year for everyone to enjoy. The Redondo Beach Pier was originally built in 1889 and today the pier, international boardwalk and marina are a fun family destination featuring over 50 dining, entertainment, shopping and water activities.
