This is a 50/50 road-gravel mixed surface race starting and finishing at The Strange Duck Brewery in Commerce, GA. The Redneck Roubaix is a funny spoof of the Paris Roubaix. If you haven’t heard of the Paris Roubaix we highly suggest you watch some highlights on YouTube.
There will be 3 different route options, 30 miles, 55 miles and 76 miles. THIS RACE WILL BE STRAVA TIMED ONLY! There will be a $1500 prize purse awarded to the top 3 finishers of the 76 mile route. Along the 76 mile route there will also be 5 timed segments. The KOM of each timed segment will receive $100 per segment. IF YOUR RIDE IS NOT ON STRAVA IT DIDN’T HAPPEN. IF YOU THINK YOUR TIMING IS WRONG BLAME IT ON STRAVA.
The 30 and 55 mile routes will be for fun! All entrants will receive 1 free beer from the Strange Duck Brewery as well as some chicken and waffles after the ride. All routes will have at least 1 neutral support rest stop with water and snacks.
We plan to have the Paris Roubaix playing for everyone to watch after the race.
