Taste the wild and learn about mushrooms!A forage walk through the beautiful Reddisher woods with a focus on learning about edible woodland mushrooms, colourful waxcaps and other interesting moorlans species.
The format is to taste some wild gins, forage and then fry up. The gin is a taste of something wild that was foraged last year and turned into a gin. Some are gin syrups, some are extractions, but they are all full of wild flavours. If you are a non drinker there will be other wild things to sample.
You'll get to choose a staff, the foragers friend, and then we're off into the woods. The ground can be slippery and muddy and it might rain, please wear boots or wellies and bring waterproofs. The plan is to forage enough treats for a fry up and mushroom butty at the end, but bring something to nibble on for your lunch. We will stop somewhere nice for a bite part way through the forage.
What to bring: Boots. Waterproofs. Your own staff, knife and basket if you have them. Lunch.
Don't worry about printing tickets, I'll have your name on my list once you've booked.
