Touch is the first sense to develop. It provides us with the possibility to perceive our sense of self, other bodies and the space around us. Touch provides us with direct connection to the external physical world, through tactile exploration. Being touched involves sensing through the skin also without without the physical experience of touch. This lecture/workshop offers theoretical information as well as the physical explorations of the sense of touch and the kinaesthetic empathy initiated by it.
