🇺🇸⭐️The countdown is on for one of the most anticipated moments of the National Route 66 Centennial Kickoff Celebration: the Red, White & Bridge Bash, set to bring thousands to Commercial Street for a two-day celebration of music, community and the future reopening of the iconic Jefferson Avenue Footbridge.
The Red, White & Bridge Bash will take place 6–10 p.m. Friday, May 1 and 8 a.m.– 6 p.m. Saturday, May 2, transforming C-Street into a vibrant festival space filled with live jazz, classic cars, local food and family-friendly entertainment set against the backdrop of one of Springfield’s most beloved landmarks, lated to reopen this summer.
“Nothing would adequately commemorate 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence better than a Jefferson Avenue Footbridge Bridge Bash in the acclaimed Historic C-Street Business District — the pride of the north side,” said Zone 1 Springfield City Councilwoman Monica Horton.
The bash captures the spirit of Route 66, celebrates America’s 250th Birthday, while highlighting the unique character of Historic C-Street.

🚘 PARKING & TRANSPORTATION
Parking will be available in designated lots along Boonville Avenue, with free shuttle service provided by City Utilities Transit running to and from the event site. A detailed parking and shuttle map will be released ahead of the event.
