Featuring Forest Borch on vocals and violin, Hamish Nicolson on guitar, and Michael Waggler on upright bass, Belleville Swing draws deeply from the tradition of vintage swing jazz inspired by the legendary Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grapelli of the Hot Club Quintet of France. Their sound blends the French manouche jazz guitar tradition with the electrifying phrasing and spirited swinging rhythm of American jazz greats such as Fats Waller and Louis Armstrong.
