Celebrate Baton Rouge music with Red Stick Rhythms! Red Stick Rhythms is an East Baton Rouge Parish Library digital resource dedicated exclusively to streaming music by local artists, with artists selected through a curated submission process.
Five Red Stick Rhythms hip-hop artists will perform live on the Plaza Stage beginning at 5 p.m. St. Missy brings signature Latin beats and bilingual lyrics, Army of 2wo (Brapper Boy & Tommy the Profit) pairs down-to-earth rhymes with hard-driving beats, and Dontay McFly combines atmospheric beats with carefully placed rhymes. KnightShift Krewe blends Neo Soul, R&B and hip-hop with rapping and choral singing, while International Bleuski takes listeners on a sonic journey through poetic storytelling.
Bring a chair and your dancing shoes! In case of rain, the concert will move indoors to the Large Meeting Room.
