As part of the Australian Ceramics Open Studios we are opening up our home studio to the public.
Everybody is welcome, so bring the whole fam!
Red Ochre Studio is based in the Southern Beaches of lutruwita/Tasmania. Our work is greatly inspired by the surrounding environment and has a focus on connecting people to place. The current range of functional ware focuses on seaweed textured surfaces, drawing attention to the plight of kelp forests in Tasmania.
Come and checkout the studio and purchase bowls, plates, keep cups and other one-of-a-kind ceramic objects in time for Christmas!
There will be a clay table set up from 11am - 3pm for people to come and have a try for a very affordable price. We will be leading some basic activities, and if you'd like to make a small handmade object and have it fired to take home before Christmas it will cost $20 for adults and $10 for kids (discounts for the whole fam!)
You can also take part in an epic group project making some giant dragon eggs (for a future pit firing).
We will also have work on display made by our kids class and adults classes.

Please park at the Dodges Ferry shops (to avoid congestion on our road) and walk down to the studio, it's about a 3 minute walk.
