Join us for the Virginia red carpet premiere of the film The Machinery of Dreams at the Richmond International Film Festival on September 10, 2021 at the Byrd Theater in Richmond. A significant part of the movie was filmed at McCormick Observatory in July 2017. Those familiar with McCormick will recognize the dome, telescope, and observing chair! The Red Carpet is at 5:45 p.m. and the screening begins at 6:30 p.m. The film was written and directed by Charlottesville's Eric Hurt.
