About this Event

Long Time Coming is a compilation of red and white quilts created by O.V. Brantley over a span of almost 20 years. Born in the segregated south into a life of what some would call scraps, O.V.managed to ultimately make beautiful and meaningful quilts while experiencing a rewarding professional career as the County Attorney of Fulton and DeKalb County Georgia, all while creating an abundant personal life.

The exhibit features a wide range of quilting techniques accomplished both on her sewing machine and by hand. Many of the quilts contain messages designed to encourage living a life of simple abundance. The exhibit is somewhat autobiographical, so those who love red and white quilts will enjoy the breadth and scope of the exhibit. O.V.’s Sorors of Delta SIgma Theta sorority will enjoy the fact that everything in the room is red and white.

Join O.V. at the opening reception 11/19 at 3 p.m. and be the first to see the exhibit. Free and open to the public. The venue is closed Sundays, Mondays and official holidays.
