Recycling Event: Reuse | Recycle | Remodel | Real Estate
About this Event
Join us in person to drop off your "household extras" at the John L. Scott Recycling Event for materials from remodeling projects, clothing, specialty textiles, batteries, and household items.
We're partnering with Habitat for Humanity, Small Threads for Kids, Rag Mine Clothing Recycle, Recology, and 1 Green Planet to collect and repurpose the items. These household items can be dropped off:
- Children & Adult: Clothing, shoes, books.
- Household Textiles: Bedspreads, sheets, drapes, quilts, towels, curtains, sleeping bags, etc.
- Reusable Remodeling Project Items: Lighting/bathroom fixtures, kitchen cabinets, doors, windows, lumber, tools, tile.
- Household Items: Small appliances, furniture.
- Household Batteries: Lithium ion and nickel cadmium batteries are only accepted. Each end of each individual battery must be taped with clear shipping tape. Limit 1/4 gallon per drop-off.
All textiles will be donated to local charitable organizations while the household items will be resold by Habitat for Humanity. For additional details on acceptable items, please see below or contact me at 425.392.1211.
