2020 marked the 250th anniversary of the University of Malta. Ahead of this date, Malta University Press published research documenting the University’s rich history, including a biography of the University’s first rector, Roberto Ranieri Costaguti, and Legacies & Bearings, a lavishly illustrated collection of essays each examining aspects of the University’s place in Maltese society and beyond. Extending these celebrations, MUP is bringing together Rectors past and present, as well as eminent historians, in conversation about the legacy of the University of Malta.
