Rethink board recruitment beyond traditional roles and discover fresh perspectives vital for nonprofit success at every stage.
About this Event

This is the second session of a five-part series: Maximizing Board Effectiveness Through all Stages of the Nonprofit Life Cycle. You do not need to attend all five sessions, but each session will build on content from the previous sessions. This series is ideal for present board members and leadership staff, as well as those who are curious to learn more.

Commonly, board recruitment is based on adding traditional professional roles, such as an attorney, an accountant, or a marketing professional. Is this status quo the most effective approach for your organization’s board recruitment or are there fresh perspectives and skill sets that can be unlocked beyond these traditional professional roles?

Join Des Worthington and Megan Motil in the second of five sessions that will explore how to maximize board effectiveness through all stages of the nonprofit life cycle. In this session you will explore what talents are really needed for your non-profit’s success at each stage within your organization’s life cycle and how to get them on board!

About the Series:

This series, comprising five in-person sessions, aims to equip your board with practical tools to enhance its strategy in advancing your nonprofit's mission towards success, focusing on a different strategy in each session. All sessions will take place at and a light lunch will be provided for all sessions.

The programs will start promptly at 12 pm and will comprise of about 30 minutes of content with the remaining time for questions and interaction with the facilitators and peers. The sessions will end at 1 pm, but feel free to stick around afterwards to network and get additional questions answered.
