Join Recovery House as we host our tenth party! We've been throwing sober raves for over two years, all designed to bring joy to the dance floor. To celebrate our tenth party, we have *2* sound stages and twice as many DJs in our lineup.
This party is a fundraiser for OTHERWORLD. We raise FUNds to make our sober space as amazing as possible, keeping sober ravers safe and inspired and shining our Light for any who are sober curious or just thirsty for a mocktail and sober reprieve.
Our UPSTAIRS stage is for house music lovers. We will start out strong with original Recovery House member Chris Bigelow, then make room for Jellyfish favourite Matterson making a guest appearance as a sober ally! We have also borrowed Squishy Gecko to finish our night with the best grooves.
Downstairs in the BASSMENT we start with TecStylez throwing down D n B, Lucy Ford returning to delight you with breaks, UKG and whatever her heart desires and Billiam, who is defecting from house to get BASS-tastic.
Recovery House is a team of party people in recovery and we want to celebrate the Joy of Living.....with YOU! All folks who enjoy the vibrations of substance free partying, sober curious and Sober allies. These raves are for EVERYONE

CHRIS BIGELOW
Chris Bigelow is a Nanaimo based house music performer and producer who has been performing in clubs, parties, and festivals across the province since finding his love for electronic music in the 90s. His high energy sets are known to energize the dance floor, bring smiles to the faces of house music lovers, and delicately fuse his love of percussive rhythms with the organic and sensual passions of Latin melodies, the dirty grooves of funk, and the nostalgia of classic dance chords. For those true house heads in the crowd, Chris Bigelow will not disappoint.

MATTERSON (Jellyfish Crew, Left Coast Crew)
After being inspired by the countless local events featuring local and international DJ's, Matterson decided to take up the craft himself. Starting with the electro craze of the late '00 era, he first played parties for Sonica Late Nights and Westcoast Funktions where he learned much about the craft. As time moved forward, he started contributing to local burn community events, growing into a more mature house sound in the process. Today he is one of the founding members of the Jellyfish Crew, providing quality events on Vancouver Island. Funky, Deep and Tech areas of House showcase his ever increasing development.

SQUISHY GECKO

LUCY FORD
Lucy Ford has been mixing dance music for 2 decades. Getting her start in the Toronto scene, she has circulated between university radio stations and dimly-lit rave spaces, blending house, drum and bass, breaks, UK garage, halftime d&b and UK funky beats, most recently experimenting with live flute accompaniment. Over the past 10 years, she has been featured on west coast stages including those hosted by her company Footwork Entertainment in Victoria, BC.

BILLIAM
Billiam has been mixing it up on the ones and twos for over 20 years. His love of all thing house is clearly evident by his immaculate track selection blending old with new, some classic sounds with grimey groovy basslines and beautiful female vocals. This next party Billiam defects from house to throw down the bass.
