How can we create when the world feels overwhelming?Join poet Mae Diansangu for a two-hour workshop of found poetry and collage art, inspired by the iconic “ransom note” style of British artist Jamie Reid, best known for his rebellious Sex Pistols artwork.
Together we’ll cut, remix, and reimagine materials from mainstream media to critique and reclaim the narratives that shape our society. No experience required, just curiosity and a desire to engage with the world creatively.
Mae Diansangu is a queer poet from Aberdeen who writes in Scots and English, exploring identity, resilience, and transformation. Her debut collection Bloodsongs (Tapsalteerie) was longlisted for the 2025 Saltire Book Award.
This workshop is part of Eternal Ecstasy, a celebration of Jamie Reid featuring archival works from John Marchant Gallery and the launch of a newly editioned screen print of Reid’s first artwork for the Sex Pistols, created at Peacock & the worm in Aberdeen.
