Record Store Day is April 20, 2024! Here's what you need to know!Record Store Day is a celebration of independent record stores across the world! Hundred of limited vinyl releases will be available on this day only at RSD-participating stores (of which we are one).
We'll also have a storewide sale and other fun stuff!

We will open at 8am on April 20th, so get here early to secure the records you have your eye on! Yes there will be a line, with folks arriving as early as 3 or 4 am, possibly earlier.
Storewide sale: 20% off all new vinyl, CD, DVD & BR (excluding RSD titles), 40% off all used vinyl, CD, DVD etc, 40% off Funko Pops, 30% off posters, shirts, stickers, & other pop culture items, 15% off turntables and vinyl accessories.
Sidewalk sale: Thousands of used records & CDs for just $0.25 each! NEW: we'll also have some used PA equipment we'll be liquidating!
It wouldn't be a celebration without a bounce castle from Jason's Jump Castle! And our favorite food truck @chowbellafoodtruck will be here too, as well as Holy City Popcorn!
Charleston Animal Society will be on site roughly 11-3 with adorable pups needing adoption. They will also be collecting donations, please go to charlestonanimalsociety.org/wish-lists to see what they need!
Atlantic Records artist BRISTON MARONEY will appear at Monster at 3 pm for a short acoustic set, meet fans and sign records, before he shuttles off to his regular Charleston gig. His newest album "Ultrapure" will be available on CD and LP, as will his RSD release "All My Little Shooting Stars". Attendance strictly capped at 100 people.
RECORD STORE DAY EXCLUSIVES: Quantities are limited, thus we must impose a limit of one per title per person. There can be no holding, reserving, or preordering of Record Store Day releases. All sales will be first-come, first-served.
LINE RULES: We open at 8 am. The line begins whenever the first person shows up, usually in the very early hours Saturday morning / Friday night. No setting up phantom chairs & showing up at the last minute to claim your place. No leaving the line & coming back at the last minute, no reserving places in line for people who aren’t there. Please have basic common sense and respect for others. We WILL have a porta-jon. Leaving the line for a quick bathroom break is up to you and your neighbors in line, but leaving for breakfast and coming back after an hour, not so much.
CAPACITY: At no time will we allow more than 100 customers in the store. At opening, to ensure all RSD releases are fully browsable, we will allow 75 people in the door. When one checks out and exits, another may enter. The line will move pretty quickly, so if you're not among the first 75, you won't have to wait long. We will have bins more spaced out than ever, so there will not be a scrum over a single area.

IS YOUR STOREWIDE SALE ALSO GOOD ONLINE? Yes, the 20% off new / 40% off used will be good online. However, we're going to be pretty busy, so we're not going to be pulling any orders that day. Processing time will be a little longer than normal.
IF YOU SELL OUT OF AN RSD TITLE, WILL YOU GET IT BACK IN? It's possible. We won't know for sure in most cases, but we will try. The ones that are super limited, it's probably not happening.
