Front Porch Beatnik (alternative rock / Berlin)
Front Porch Beatnik is an alternative rock music trio from Berlin.
Leadsinger Christian Schidlowski, bassist Dr Leben and drummer Lucy Kaewprasert play songs sometimes powerful, sometimes melancholic, reflecting the world in a warm but deliberately distorted and simple sound. The deeply personal lyrics deal with themes such as friendship, nostalgic memories and life in a world plastered with ambiguities.
Influences come from bands such as Pixies, Eels, Beck and The Velvet Underground.
As a documentary filmmaker, singer Christian Schidlowski was prevented from working during the pandemic due to the inability to travel - and used the forced break as an opportunity to resume his childhood dream of composing and recording indie rock music, which he had given up for filmmaking. During the months of lockdown, he wrote various songs and quickly found musical support from Dr. Leben and Lucy Kaewprasert once the pandemic had subsided. The three have been making music, composing and touring together since early 2024.

Nordic Cactus (indie garage punk / Malmo)
Nordic Cactus are a post-punk/garage rock duo based in the Copenhagen–Malmö area (also known as the Øresund region). Formed in 2023 by songwriter Jackson Mainwaring and drummer Jonathan Nilsson, the band have played over 50 shows at home and abroad, including shows across Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and Serbia, as well as DIY venues in Berlin and Rozbrat in Poznan. Their minimalist setup is a mix of noisy guitar, synth, and drums, built around melodic songs with snide lyrics and danceable garage rock bangers that sound like they’ve arrived from a future that already happened.
