About this Event

Hate, hostility and discrimination can leave people feeling isolated, unsafe, and unsure of what to do next. This interactive workshop is designed to change that.

Join us for a supportive, practical session where you'll learn how to recognise hostility and hate incidents, respond safely and confidently, and understand where to turn for support and how to report what's happened.

Through facilitated discussion, real-world scenarios, and reflective exercises, you'll leave with practical tools you can use in everyday life — whether that's supporting yourself, a friend, or your wider community.

This session is part of a new grassroots programme by Duha Collective, developed in response to rising concerns around hostility, fear, and misinformation affecting communities locally. It's open to all women who has faced hate and discrimination, come with an open mind, a willingness to learn and support each other.

What you'll gain:

  • Greater confidence recognising and responding to hate and hostility
  • A clearer understanding of reporting pathways and support services
  • Practical, trauma-informed tools you can use straight away
  • A safe space to ask questions and share experiences
