Reclamation Rope Community Lab

Skill level: Beginner/Intermediate

Pre-reqs: Knowledge of a single column tie is preferred

What to bring: 3-4 lengths of rope; We will have loaner rope available for those who do not have any yet. We also have reference books to peruse during lab time.

This month Reclamation Rope will be a hybrid of virtual and in-person. Folks are welcome to come to The Empty Space to participate in person, but we will also have a webcam set up for those who wish to attend virtually. The virtual option will include the class portion of RRC and the beginning part of the lab. We will ask that virtual folks turn on their camera during introductions.

No recording will be available.

Reclamation Rope Community is a group that hosts an evening of rope education and practice for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) at all skill levels in a kink-friendly environment. All attendees need to be 18 years or older. We will have a short introduction to the space and the group followed by a beginner rope class. After this class, there will be lab time when you are free to practice any of the skills you learned, ask a question of the presenters, or simply watch others engage in different types of rope play.

The link for this virtual event will be given on purchase of a ticket and emailed to the attendees two days before the event. If you purchase a ticket within 48 hours of the event, you will receive an email shortly.

COVID Precautions: Our rules on COVID are subject to change at any time depending on what we determine to be the safest for our group. As of now, we require that attendees wear masks indoors unless they are eating or drinking, and when your mask is removed we ask that you stay in one place and socially distance the best you can.
