About this Event
In honor of Sexual Assualt Awareness Month, The Whispering Shelf invites you to a guided evening with sexuality educator and consent advocate Serena Van Orman, centered on survivor stories, agency, and community.
Blending personal storytelling, key insights on why believing survivors matters, and practical, trauma-informed ways to offer support, this event explores how we can show up for survivors both personally and culturally. A curated selection of memoirs and healing-centered texts will highlight storytelling as a tool for reclamation.
The evening will include a facilitated reflection where participants write letters to survivors, including themseles, with the option to share, culminating in a powerful, supportive space to express, witness, and practice the language of care.
Sharing is always option. All are welcome (18+).
