🎤 Bellingen Shire Council, in collaboration with the Academy of Social Science, proudly presents Reclaiming Solidarity: Voices for Unity — a (Mini) Poetry Slam like no other, live at the iconic Bellingen Memorial Hall 🏛️.This year’s theme, Reclaiming Solidarity: Voices for Unity 🫱🏽🫲🏼, invites poets to explore what solidarity means in our world today 🌏.
The poems will explore how connection 🤝, cooperation 🤗, and shared purpose 🌟 can help us respond to the challenges of an increasingly complex world. Drawing on ideas from social science 📚, the performers are asked what community connection means to them — and express their ideas poetry slam style! 🗣️🎙️
🎟️ The audience will decide who takes home the title of best Poetry Slam performer for the Reclaiming Solidarity: Voices for Unity (Mini) Poetry Slam. 🏆✨
🍿🥤 Snack foods and beverages will be available before and during the event.
