A healing circle and community building workshop for new mothers struggling with loss of autonomy, identity, and relationship changes.
About this Event

Becoming a mother can bring a quiet kind of loss. You might miss the body you knew, the time that used to be yours, the way you and your partner were before, or the woman who could walk out the door with just her keys.

Some days you might not love this as much as you thought you would, and then you feel guilty for even thinking it. What you’re feeling is grief, and it’s a normal part of crossing from maiden to mother. It deserves more than a quiet cry in the car.

For two hours, we’ll sit in circle and honour this rite of passage together. It’s a safe place to share your grief and actually feel it, with other mothers who understand. If you’re overwhelmed and don’t know where to begin, that’s okay. You can start here.

This event will likely bring up big feelings, and we ask that all participants come prepared to share or hold space, and respect confidentiality.
