Have you ever wanted to run but felt like it wasn’t meant for you? Society often dictates what runners “should” be—how they should look, how fast they should go, and how their running practices should appear. This barrage of “shoulds” can distance us from our bodies, their inherent wisdom, and the tools we already possess.
In this six-week course, you’ll learn to reclaim running on your own terms. We’ll shift away from external metrics like pace and distance, focusing instead on cultivating internal awareness. Each week, we’ll challenge traditional notions of running and what it means to be a runner, developing a sustainable, embodied practice tailored to your unique needs.
This course integrates evidence-based running and movement techniques with therapeutic approaches, including mindfulness and DBT skills. By the end of Reclaiming Running, you’ll have a deeper sense of body trust and the tools to continue running in a way that truly works for you.
The course is led by Julia Carter, LCSWA and RRCA-certified run coach specializing in therapeutic approaches to movement and body awareness.

This series runs from October 16th through November 20th and meets right outside of Current Wellness.
Cost: $190/6 weeks
Early Bird Price: $160 until September 11th
