About this Event
Stick Together, Stand Together - Working-Class Representation in Politics Documentary Launch
Date: Tuesday 22nd October
Time: 5.30 pm-8 pm
Location: Methodist Central Hall
Join us for the launch of our documentary exploring the representation of young and working-class people in political spaces.
One of our young campaigners has created 'Stick Together, Stand Together'. Through interviews with trade unionists, councillors, youth workers, MPs, researchers and campaigners, this documentary asks why young and working-class people are shut out from politics, and what we need to do to change this. Along the way, it considers questions of institutional privilege and the many forms that political participation can take.
This in-person event will feature a screening of the 30-minute documentary, followed by a panel discussion with our filmmaker and special guests, including Andy Burnham. We will then have time for group discussions and socialising.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
We would love to see you there! If you have any questions about the event, please don't hesitate to get in contact: [email protected]
