🎶 The Music
This crazy world has come for our lineups! We tried to keep things together but due to circumstances out of our direct control, Shango won’t be able to fly out from Philly and grace us with a set on the 14th. We are both heartbroken AND are gonna get Shango back on as soon as we can so stay tuned!
Good news y’all! We’re gonna have ’nother whole treat on the 14th!…
Black Panda (aka Eddie Rios @black.panda.dj) - a local rising star just stepped up to rock with us.
Black Panda literally *just* had a sets at Tender Riots and DaybreakerSF so we are definitely in good hands.
Black Panda has shared lineups with the likes of Azzecca, Black Coffee, Bontan, Dusky, Francis Mercier,
Gorgon City, Kevin Knapp, MK, Mahmut Orhan, Marco Lys, Nora en Pure, The Blessed Madonna, TSHA and VNSSA among others.
He has appeared on San Francisco’s Fault Radio, Moondog Radio, The Book of Groove, and Radio Free
Brooklyn’s Virtual Voyager.
His soulful, jackin productions have been released by the likes of DJ/producer Justin Jay's Fantastic
Voyage, Kokolores Records, Black Techno Matters, and Bread Box Records, an indie imprint he runs with
his collaborator, David Tuber (Almost All Purpose).
If you bought a ticket expecting to see Shango and would like a refund, we totally get it. Message us and we’ll make it right
🌀 Our Community
RECLAIM is about creating a vibrant space where bipoc and queer folks can come together, connect, and vibe as one community. Our goal? To build bridges and unite, so we can dance our way into the future we’ve been dreaming of.
We’re calling all BIPOC folks—whether you’re Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color—to join us on the dance floor. And we’re calling all QUEER folks—gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans, questioning, gender-nonconforming, or however you proudly define your queerness.
To be clear: if you’re white and queer, come on down! If you’re brown and straight, we want you too! The only thing we ask is that you bring your best self and be ready to groove.
Our Vision
RECLAIM envisions a world where bipoc and queer people are moving towards liberation together. We center the Black, the Brown, and Queer because now, more than ever, we need fresh visions to create a thriving world for all—regardless of who we love, how we identify, or the melanin in our skin.
Our mission is to unite BIPOC and Queer dancers through communal movement, self-expression, and meaningful exchange. By dancing together, we empower ourselves to build deeper connections, find courage, and co-create a more just and compassionate world.
RECLAIM stands in solidarity with Black, Brown, Queer, Indigenous, Palestinian, Congolese, Sudanese and all people resisting oppressive systems.
