The word Rosary literally means “Crown of Roses”. Mary has revealed herself many times through the centuries and has said that each time we say a Hail Mary, we are giving her a beautiful rose, and that each complete Rosary makes her a crown of roses. With each prayer, we invite her to pray for us and she always grants our requests. She joins her prayer to ours and it therefore becomes even more powerful because what Mary asks, she always receives. One historian noted that Jesus never says no to His Mothers requests. The Rosary is a prayer that the Church received in the year 1214 by St. Dominic from the Blessed Virgin. It’s said the Rosary can convert the most hardened sinners, defeat God’s enemies, preserve the Faith and make us saints. It’s powerful because the prayers were composed by God Himself. Throughout centuries, many armies prayed to Mary and those who did were rewarded with victories. Even at Fatima, during World War 1, Mary, The Lady of the Rosary, asked the 3 shepherd children to “pray the Rosary daily, do penance and have devotion to her Immaculate Heart.” The children were told “if we want peace, we must pray the Rosary.”
Give your prayers to Mary the Lady of the Rosary. There is nothing that cannot be solved by the Rosary.
