On Sunday, May 19 at 4:30 pm, St. David's Baltimore celebrates the Pentecost Sunday with a recital of vocal music followed by the service of Choral Evensong.Join the Choir of St. David’s on Sunday, May 19 at 4:30 pm for a festival Pentecost Evensong. The event begins at 4:30 pm with a recital by soprano Danielle Buonaiuto, including Douglas Buchanan’s song cycle “Scots and Waters.” The Service of Evensong follows, including the world premiere of Buchanan’s festival anthem for choir and organ “Hail to thee, blythe Spirit!” based on the poem by Percy Bysshe Shelley’s poem To a Skylark.
The event is free and open to the public, with doors opening at 4:00 pm. A suggested donation of $10-$20 directly benefits the musicians and the music series.
