We are excited for you all to experience our showcase event at Sheaf St on June 10th where we have BIG MIZ & LOUISE CHEN headlining the bill along with support from local talent Kirsten and the creator of REC, AVIAX.
BIG MIZ — He has come into his own as one of the UK’s most exciting rising talents. While he’s been steadily releasing music for nearly ten years, he’s achieved recent acclaim through a slew of notable appearances on labels like Nervous, Knee Deep In Sound, Toolroom, and Defected and a notable 2020 remix of Hot Since 82’s “Rules.” His sound is rooted more in classic soul and funk than anything. McFarlane takes all the best of the sound of a bygone era and injects it with his own modern flair.
LOUISE CHEN — She hasn't slept since 1999 according to her Instagram bio. Half Taiwanese-half french selector founded the Girls Girls Girls night at Social Club in 2012. Inviting acts like Kelela, Sampha, Jackmaster, Moxie, Ikonika, Lil Silva, etc. always aiming to bring together live performers and club culture. Through her NTS shows she gets to explore her love of collecting soul, disco, gospel and early house records aswell as the sample heavy naughty club bangers that have made up the Girls Girls Girls DNA sound. Her sublime selections always keep the party alive, she was recently invited by Mixmag down to their exclusive LAB London by where she provided some serious selections
FIRE AT THE DISCO — Head honchos Kirsten and Emily began collaborating in 2016 at Club Mission in Leeds. Following that they developed as a team and spent the following years both learning and mastering new skills in a wide variety of setting, venues & festivals all around the UK. The duo then embarked on a trip to Australia in 2018 where they were invited to perform at some of the largest festivals in Melbourne. They have since been been involved in performances covering nightclubs across the country and recently landed a residency at The Lofts, Newcastle performing for some of the biggest DJs in the scene.
