New Strategy Center, in partnership with the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will organize the international conference “Rebuilding Ukraine: Security, Opportunities, Investment” in Bucharest on October 22–23.
The event will bring together institutional leaders, experts, Romanian and Ukrainian companies, international investors, and representatives of regional and local authorities to address one of Europe’s defining challenges: Ukraine’s reconstruction and long-term resilience.
Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine has created immense security, economic, infrastructure, and humanitarian challenges. Reconstruction will require sustained political commitment, major investment, viable financing mechanisms, and strong cooperation between governments, businesses, communities, and international partners.
Against this backdrop, the conference will examine Romania’s role as a regional hub for investment, connectivity, and economic cooperation with Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, and identify concrete opportunities for partnerships and cross-border projects.
Discussions will focus on six key areas:
• Infrastructure and connectivity
• Security and defense
• Financing mechanisms and business opportunities
• Energy, agriculture, and sustainable development
• Regions, local communities, and cross-border cooperation
• Human capital development
The conference builds on New Strategy Center’s previous initiatives focused on Romania’s role in Ukraine’s reconstruction and aims to shift the conversation from strategic priorities to concrete projects, investment opportunities, and lasting partnerships.
