About this Event

This workshop explores the journey of rebuilding life after surviving difficult experiences. Through personal reflection and guided discussion, participants will explore ways to reconnect with themselves, regain stability, and begin moving toward a life where they are not just surviving, but truly thriving. The session focuses on self-awareness, emotional rebuilding, and rediscovering personal strength after challenging life experiences.

Speaker Bio:
Funmilayo Amonimo is a Public Health professional and Health & Safety Specialist based in Ontario. Originally from Nigeria, she moved to Canada to further her education and career and has since built experience in workplace safety, community engagement, and personal development.

Funmilayo is passionate about resilience, personal growth, and supporting others through life transitions. Through her own journey of rebuilding and self-discovery, she has developed a deep understanding of the challenges many women face after difficult experiences. She believes that survival is only the beginning, and that with the right mindset, support, and self-reflection, it is possible to move from simply surviving to truly thriving.
