REBIRTH: The Art of Transformation at NYC Jewelry Week 2025

Hosted by Angie Marei at the Marei New York showroom in DUMBO, Brooklyn. Guests are invited to bring heirloom or personal jewelry and explore transforming it into meaningful new creations. Through private design consultations and storytelling, REBIRTH offers a sacred space for reinvention—honoring the past, embracing healing, and reclaiming identity through wearable art.

New York-born and raised Egyptian-Dominican designer Angie Marei creates powerful, evocative fine jewelry that celebrates love, spiritual rebirth, and the inner strength it takes to rise and emerge—like a phoenix. Deeply rooted in spirituality, her work is guided by intuition and a reverence for the divine. Each piece is a modern heirloom, crafted to empower the wearer and honor life’s most meaningful moments—from passionate unions to profound personal transformations.

A former advertising creative director, Angie built her career shaping campaigns for iconic luxury brands including Tom Ford, Gucci, and Yves Saint Laurent. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Pratt Institute, where she studied design and visual communication. Longing to create something more personal and lasting, she answered a deeper calling—formally studying jewelry design and metalsmithing before launching her own fine jewelry brand.

Each November, NYC Jewelry Week proudly presents ‘The Week,’ a 7-day celebration dedicated to the art of jewelry. This annual festival invites a global audience to explore the world of jewelry through a dynamic mix of in-person and virtual experiences, spanning New York City and beyond. Our hybrid program features virtual programs streamed on YouTube alongside immersive on-site activities.

In-person, NYC Jewelry Week brings together leading figures in the jewelry industry to curate extraordinary experiences, including exhibitions, exclusive shopping opportunities, and retail collaborations. Attendees can also participate in insightful panel discussions that explore trends, challenges, and innovations in the field. Each event creates memorable jewelry moments that celebrate the creativity and craftsmanship of the industry.

Committed to inclusivity, many of our programs are free and open to the public.
