About this Event

Join the Tarafi band paying tribute to the original rebetiko from the pre-WWII era. Rebetiko is the music of predominantly the urban lower and working-class population of early 20th century Greece. The night will include songs of Markos Vamvakaris, Kostas Skarvelis, Panagiotis Tountas, Anestis Dellias , Giannis Papaioannou, Manolis Chiotis and more.

The Tarafi band is:

George Sountoulidis: Vocals, baglama

Dimitri Petsalakis: Baglama, tzoura, vocals

Sofia Smyrnioudi: Accordion, vocals

George Vasileiou: Guitar

Petros Pechlivanoglou: Bouzouki, tzoura
