We are very happy to announce the second Rebel Roots of the year on the 11th of April. We always have fun with Reggae music at 1000fryd, and we've longed for being together on the dance floor. This time we got very special guests: Tribe 84 crew will be visiting us in a DJ set style.
This is a great chance to listen some of the best records collection in Denmark.
Tribe 84 is a heavyweight Sound System and Record Label playing strictly Roots Reggae & Dubwise music, located on the island of Fyn in Denmark. The crew consists of; Mamba (selector, operator, mic-man and founder, Henning Reggae Moods (selector and singer), InnaCity Jakob (selector, operator) Felix Mogens (selector) and Carl ( live sax, flute and melodica). Under the name Tribe 84, the sound is active since September 2024 but all members have been present on the local and international reggae/dub scene for many years. Tribe 84 has already played with their full sound system on events such Dubfabrikken (Kbh), Roots to Bassline (Kbh), Denali Dub Sessions (Aarhus) and organizes their own event series – ‘’All Tribes Welcome’’ in Ungdomshuset, Copenhagen.
Mamba, Henning and Jakob will be representing Tribe 84 at 1000fryd.
Mamba is a long-time reggae selector, sound system operator, event promoter and music producer. Mamba is also the co-founder and co-owner at Tribe 84 Records- a label specializing in releasing high quality reggae and dub music on vinyl. Likewise, he is a co-founder and member of Dubfabrikken which is the longest running reggae/dub club in Denmark with monthly sessions organized since 2009.
Henning Reggae Moods is a real Danish reggae veteran/singer/musician with over 40 years of experience in the music industry. Henning has been sending his weekly radio program – Reggae Moods for over 20 years and specializes in roots reggae from his enormous collection of vinyl records.
InnaCity Jakob is an experienced selector, member of Odense's own Jalix sound, serving a proper selection of reggae and dub from vinyl records.
Representing Rebel Roots, Diego will be supporting the night with his record box.
