Welcome to the RBC New York event, where we'll be diving into August's theme, China, through this month's read, , by Yuan Yang.

Gizem Rufo

Gizem is a UX Research Manager and works on augmented reality glasses and human-computer interaction. She joined RBC to find a like-minded community of nonfiction lovers and get back into reading after having a baby.

When she is not reading, you can find her immersed in one of her bazillion hobbies like gardening, knitting and experimenting with fermenting or spending time with her family. She lives in Brooklyn and loves exploring NYC on foot.
