About this Event

Join us on Friday, May 8th for Randi Braun's annual Something MajorRetreat at The Ritz Carlton Georgetown.

  • Retreat Impact: Hosted by best-selling author, Something Major Founder, and certified women’s leadership coach, Randi Braun, we're thrilled to be back at The Ritz-Carlton for an experience that past attendees have described as "absolutely perfect," "transformational" and "exactly what I needed."

  • Theme: Our retreat will focus on the topic of Escaping The Exhaustion Trap, workshopping some of the most popular content from her WSJ-best-selling book, Something Major: The New Playbook for Women at Work. Read more about our agenda below.

"As a two-time participant in Something Major Retreats, I have been equally amazed and impressed by the quality of conversation, instant camaraderie of women from completely different backgrounds, and the ease at which Randi facilitates thought-provoking discussion.
Attending this annual event is the investment in yourself and your wellbeing that you didn’t know you needed."
- 'Iolani Bullock, VP of DEI at The Carlyle Group & Author of "Lenox Takes Flight"

Retreat Agenda & Details:

AM: Realigning Mind & Body

  • Coffee & Connect: We'll begin the day with an opportunity to network with other women over coffee and light refreshments.

  • Welcome & Escaping the Exhaustion Trap Workshop by Randi Braun: We are so good at crushing other people's goals but, too often, high-performing women feel crushed in the process... That's why this workshop will equip women with the tools to overcome exhaustion. This workshop is not about teaching participants to drink green juice or just turn their phones off: you will leave with real skills and tools (that Randi uses with her real coaching clients) to reimagine your relationship to your priorities, stakeholders, and to-do list -- maintaining excellence, while minimizing exhaustion.
  • Nourishing Vinyasa Flow Yoga: After realigning our minds, we’ll realign our body with a nourishing vinyasa flow yoga class. This class is suitable for all levels.

PM: Recharging Our Spirit

  • Networking Lunch: To recharge our spirits, following yoga we’ll sit down for a delicious networking lunch.

  • Completion Workshop: We'll end the day with a final completion workshop and closing remarks from Randi.

Attire: Keeping it casual and relaxed, leggings/yoga clothes are required. Ponytails are not required, but strongly encouraged.

"I am still glowing from the magic that happened at Randi's Something Major retreat. I walked in not knowing what to expect and it was a transformative experience."
-Graciela Benveniste, Head of Institutional Business Marketing at BlackRock

Cost: $995/person

Pro Tip #1 - Ask Your Employer to Sponsor Your Seat: About 50% of our participants have their employer sponsor their participation as a leadership development and/or networking experience, while half of our attendees self-sponsor.

Reach out for a copy of our Business Case Kit if you’re interested in learning more about how your employer might sponsor your participation as a leadership development and/or networking experience ([email protected]).

Pro Tip # 2 - Reduced Rate for Overnighting at The Ritz-Carlton: For those coming from out of town, or for local Washingtonians who are looking for a reason to indulge, we have a room block available at the extremely discounted rate of $529/night for both Thursday, 5/7 and Friday, 5/8 , plus taxes and fees. Rooms are first-come-first-served and may only be booked after registration is completed. So, if you know you plan to overnight, please email Randi Braun at [email protected] as soon as you register. Of course, overnighting at The Ritz-Carlton is 100% optional.
