Real-World Skills & Readiness Lab™: RPN-to-BScN Skills Lab Prep
About this Event
Real-World Skills & Readiness Lab™
RPN-to-BScN Skills Lab Prep 🎓
🚨 Don't walk into your skills assessment unprepared.
Ontario's RPN-to-BScN bridging pathways have evolved, and for many Registered Practical Nurses, admission into Year 3 of participating Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) programs now includes a comprehensive nursing skills lab and Medic*tion math assessment.
While these assessments are high stakes, many learners report having little or no opportunity to prepare beforehand.
Nurse Decoded created the Real-World Skills & Readiness Lab™ to help bridge that gap.
This intensive, hands-on workshop provides additional opportunities to strengthen foundational nursing skills, refresh Medic*tion calculations, practice clinical reasoning, and build confidence in a supportive simulation environment before your assessment day.
Whether you're feeling confident but want extra practice—or you're feeling anxious about what to expect—this workshop is designed to help you prepare with purpose.
🧤 What You'll Practice
Participants will rotate through realistic clinical learning stations and simulation activities designed to reinforce commonly evaluated nursing competencies, including:
• IV Drip Calculations & Medic*tion Math
• Tracheostomy Care & Airway Management
• G-Tube Management
• Catheterization
• Simple & Complex Wound Assessment & Care
• Comprehensive Head-to-Toe Assessment
• Simulation-Based Clinical Scenarios
• Clinical Reasoning & Prioritization
Throughout the day, learners will receive guided coaching, individualized feedback, and repeated opportunities to practice skills in a psychologically safe environment.
🤔 Why Nurse Decoded?
At Nurse Decoded, we believe confidence develops through preparation—not pressure.
Our workshops are intentionally designed to provide a calm, supportive learning environment where participants can ask questions, refine techniques, strengthen clinical reasoning, and learn from mistakes without the stress of formal evaluation.
Unlike larger classroom settings, participation is limited to 8 learners, allowing for meaningful coaching and individualized feedback throughout the day.
👩⚕️ Who Should Attend?

• RPNs completing OntarioLearn pathway courses
