This year, our Board of Directors has decided to shake things up a bit with our annual Real Superheroes of Safe Harbor Gala! Instead of selecting individual Real Superhero candidates, the Board will be celebrating first responders in our community. Local first responder organizations will be participating in a friendly competition for the benefit of Safe Harbor. The department that raises the most money for Safe Harbor will be recognized as the Real Superhero of the Year on September 21, 2024, at the Harbor Center in Slidell. All contributions will assist us in providing direct services, legal advocacy, safety planning, crisis intervention, emergency shelter, and comprehensive children's services. Participating First Responders include: Covington Fire Department, Folsom Village Police Department, Louisiana Department of Probation and Parole Madisonville Police Department, Mandeville Police Department, Pearl River Police Department, Slidell Police Department, St. Tammany Parish Fire Protection District 4, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office.
