About this Event
The โReal Rescues of South Floridaโ class will focus on fire-based EMS systems and the use of the first arriving โrescueโ with delayed responses of additional units. The class will focus on building confidence to seek out victims who may be trapped or unconscious with limited resources on scene. Breakout sessions will focus on the use of thermal imaging cameras for targeted search, the use of the water can to keep fires under control, victim search and removal techniques and forcible entry with hand tools only. Students will combine all these learned skills and perform them during a live fire focused scenarios with successful victim removals. Approved by the Florida Division of State Fire Marshal for 7 CEUs as course RN-21060.
This class is limited to 24 attendees with 8 officer specific spots (please note in registration if you want to be the officer or firefighter for the course).
Full NFPA compliant bunker gear and SCBA with spare bottle required.
