What is SBIRT-A?
- Screening: Identify substance use and related concerns among adolescents.
- Brief Intervention: Offer personalized feedback and support to motivate positive change.
- Referral to Treatment: Connect youth with appropriate resources for further assistance.
- Adolescent: Youth-focused version of SBIRT.
Desired Outcomes for Attendees:
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of SBIRT-A and its application in your mentoring program.
- Learn how to utilize the CRAFFT tool effectively as a risk indicator for substance use.
- Enhance skills in tailoring interventions based on individual youth needs.
- Strengthen your ability to provide timely and targeted support to mentees.
- Foster a supportive and informed environment within your mentoring team.
This session promises to equip attendees with the tools and knowledge needed to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the youth they serve.
