R.E.A.L Men Experience: Heal Men, Heal Families
About this Event
The R.E.A.L. Men Experience is a focused leadership and personal development event designed to help Black men grow in discipline, emotional strength, accountability, and purpose.
This experience creates a space for real conversation, reflection, and growth—addressing the pressures, expectations, and challenges many men carry without support. Through structured dialogue and practical engagement, participants will be introduced to the R.E.A.L. Framework:
- Responsibility
- Emotional Intelligence
- Accountability
- Legacy
Led by Douglas M. Reed, retired First Sergeant and mental health advocate, this experience goes beyond motivation. It provides practical tools and a clear standard for men who are ready to lead themselves and build a stronger future.
Program Description
The Real Men Experience is an immersive leadership and personal development event designed to foster honest conversations around faith, healing, purpose, and legacy. The experience opens with a powerful keynote address that sets the tone for a day of reflection, inspiration, and action.
The event features three signature panel discussions:
Betting on Grace (One-on-One Conversation)
An intimate fireside conversation exploring how faith, resilience, and God's grace empower men to overcome setbacks, embrace redemption, and confidently pursue their calling.
Faith Meets Therapy (Four Panelists)
A candid discussion with four thought leaders examining the relationship between faith and mental wellness. Panelists will address the stigma surrounding therapy, emotional health, spiritual healing, and practical strategies for living whole and healthy lives.
Four Men, Four Journeys, One Purpose (Four Panelists)
Four men from diverse backgrounds share their unique journeys to discovering purpose. Through personal experiences, leadership lessons, and moments of adversity, this panel demonstrates that while every path is different, every purpose has significance.
Legacy (Four Panelists)
A powerful closing conversation focused on building a legacy that extends beyond career success. Panelists discuss leadership, fatherhood, mentorship, community impact, and the values that shape future generations, challenging attendees to intentionally define what they will leave behind.
