Fresh off of city zoning approval of her 203-unit townhome development in Dallas' Education Corridor (in Southern Dallas), Maggie Parker of Innovan Neighborhoods will share with us a successful case-study on what it takes to push through a large and complex community development.
We'll also delve into how she got started in real estate, her passion for affordable housing, and the obstacles that she faced to get to where she is now.

With a background in community development finance, real estate development, and capacity building, Maggie Parker has over a decade of experience driving impactful change in underserved neighborhoods. Her transformative journey began with the founding of Innovan Neighborhoods, a community-oriented development and consulting firm dedicated to strengthening neighborhoods through affordable housing, small business development, and stakeholder collaboration.
Since its inception in 2019, Innovan Neighborhoods has developed a $100 million pipeline of affordable housing and small business-anchored projects, delivering over 360 units and securing more than $15 million in investments for revitalization across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Maggie’s visionary leadership also led to the launch of the Community Developers Roundtable (CDR), a groundbreaking initiative supporting diverse community-oriented real estate developers. In partnership with BCL of Texas and funded by JPMorgan Chase, the CDR has raised over $1.7 million to empower organizations creating affordable housing and commercial spaces in underserved communities.
Beyond her professional achievements, Maggie is deeply engaged in her community. She serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Housing Forward and is an active member of the Texas Mezzanine Fund Board, the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas Foundation Board, and the Alpha Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
