Reagan Banik is 10 years old an dlives in Illinois, with most of her family living in Ottawa. She is both a big sister, and a little sister. In the 3rd grade, Reagan struggled to brush through her tangled hair every morning. Her mom asked her how her hair was so knotty when they had brushed through it the night before. Almost immediately, Reagan began thinking of creative answers...
Within a few days, she had created the concept for what would be her first published book, The KNOTians. They are little stars that come down from the night sky and play in your hair. They love all kinds of hair and wish for hair of their own. They learn to appreciate themselves just how they are when, one night, a KNOTian wanders into the room of a kid with no hair. Could it be a new kind of hair...the hair that's not there?
Come and meet Reagan on May 11th, and grab some food from the food truck at the same time! Reagan will be reading from her book, and signing copies as well.
