Explore emergency readiness resources, learn lifesaving skills from workshops, and engage with community and local government leaders.

Workplace Violence Prevention
Facilitator: FBI San Francisco Division
This presentation provides an overview of the definition and types of workplace violence, along with key processes such as threat assessment and threat management. It also highlights common triggers, stressors, and pre-attack behaviors.
Key Takeaways: Participants will learn the importance of bystander reporting, how to report concerns, and safe separation practices.
Stop the Bleed
Facilitator: San Francisco Fire Department/Neighborhood Emergency Response Team (NERT)
This hands-on workshop teaches participants how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and take immediate action to control it.
Key Takeaways: Participants will learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding, practice the three methods to control bleeding, properly apply a tourniquet, and effectively pack a wound.
Hands-Only CPR and AED Train-the-Trainer
Facilitator: Emergency Medical Service Agency
This workshop teaches participants to recognize the differences between stroke, heart attack, and cardiac arrest. Participants will also learn how to perform the life-saving skill of Hands-Only CPR and how to teach it within their organization.

Psychological First Aid and Understanding Vicarious Trauma

It also explores the impact of vicarious trauma and highlights strategies to maintain personal well-being while supporting others.
