THE READY TO ROCKERS ARE BACK AT THE WEDGE FOR LINCOLN & AJAY!!
READY TO ROCK SCHOOL return to the legendary WEDGEWOOD ROOMS for their annual Christmas Charity Gig, with the focus this year on two of their former guitar students, both of whom have sadly passed away in the past 15 months.
Ready To Rock School founder, Mark Thompson-Smith B.E.M., leads the RTR School tutors and students for their final big rock marathon charity gig of the year "We're back at The Wedge, courtesy of our good friend and general manager Geoff Priestley, with our annual 6 hour long afternoon of student, tutor and special guests band performances, with this year having a special but poignant significance, as we will be remembering 'two of our own' namely, Lincoln Hawkes (14) and Ajay Glendinning (17).
Lincoln and Ajay were exceptionally talented young teenagers with their whole lives ahead of them and with so many more songs to play. Their passing, in such tragic circumstances one year apart, is felt deeply by all at Ready To Rock. The Wedge is such a perfect place for us to remember them, as they both loved playing on the legendary Wedgewood Rooms stage with us.
We will be raising funds for two charity organisations that are close to the hearts of their respective families, namely HAMPSHIRE & I.O.W AIR AMBULACE www.hiowaa.org and JACK THE LAD www.jackthelad.co.uk with the ticket sales proceeds being split equally between them.
The afternoon will be an emotional one but one that celebrates the two boys lives in the best way that we at Ready To Rock can do and that's by 'rocking out' in their honour...it will be a memorable gig for two much missed boys."
The music kicks off at 12.00 noon on SUNDAY DECEMBER the 13th 2026 and the event is open to the public.
(Under 14s will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian)
Tickets:- £8 in advance & £10 on the door:- www.wedgewood-rooms.co.uk
100% of the gross ticket proceeds will go to the chosen charities.
