This two-day hybrid conference is all about disaster preparedness and includes presentations by folks who have weathered disasters, plus advice and tips for protecting your holdings. The conference will be held in the Akins Room at the Nova Scotia Archives and online via Zoom. For those attending in-person, lunch and refreshments will be provided on both days!A preliminary schedule is now available on the conference webpage:

There will also be a hands-on workshop on disaster recovery for archival materials taught by Julia Landry! Julia is a professional conservator specializing in paper-based materials and has worked with member archives all over the province. The workshop will take place on May 16 from 1:30-4:30 pm in the Akins Room.

And don’t worry: if you aren’t able to participate, there will be some seats around the perimeter of the room for in-person attendees to observe, and folks joining the conference remotely can watch online, too!
