About this Event

Event theme: The impact of Extreme Weather on Loneliness

Join us for the Ready Friends Befriending Forum on Thursday, 20 August (10 am - 12:30 pm). The August forum will be an opportunity to meet and hear from the new project coordinator, Steve Hendry, and discuss ideas for the future of Ready Friends and the Befriending forum in the coming years.

We will also discuss the impact extreme weather can have on loneliness. We will explore the impacts on individuals and the services that support them, looking at the practical mitigations groups are already taking to ensure they can continue to safely deliver services and what further steps might be needed in the future.

We will also be joined by RVA's Summer intern, Charlotte Simms, who will present the findings of her research into the Local Voluntary Sector workforce.

The programme will include time for informal networking and an opportunity to share news, promote your service and find out about funding, events and training. Refreshments provided.
