Margaret Hasse’s poetry has been published in journals, anthologies, collections, and in St. Paul’s sidewalks and on public transit. National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, Loft-McKnight grants, and residencies have supported her writing. Margaret's books include six full-length collections of poems, two chapbooks, and, most recently, a “new and selected” entitled “Belongings."
Laurie Hertzel is the former books editor for the Minnesota (*formerly Minneapolis) Star Tribune and the author of "News to Me: Adventures of an Accidental Journalist" (University of Minnesota Press), winner of a Minnesota Book Award. She reviews books for the Washington Post, Boston Globe, Star Tribune and elsewhere and teaches in the low-residency MFA program in narrative nonfiction at the University of Georgia.
Peter Geye’s forthcoming sixth novel, titled A Lesser Light, will be published in April. It's the first book in an extended cycle of five novels exploring the settlement of the Lake Superior region, especially Minnesota. He works in the publishing business and mainly shuttles his kids around to different activities between making them breakfast and dinner. He's a lifelong Minneapolitan.
Heid E. Erdrich is a writer from North Dakota who curates art exhibits, teaches, researches and collaborates with other artists. Heid is Ojibwe and is enrolled at Turtle Mountain. Heid’s most recent book of poems is “Little Big Bully.” In January 2024, Heid was appointed the first Poet Laureate of the City of Minneapolis.
